Thistle Hill, Knaresborough

S Harrison Developments completed the new Thistle Hill nursing home in August 2005, alongside the existing home.

Harrison worked with Barchester Healthcare to transfer existing residents into the new home, with minimal disruption. The new home has created an 85 bed home where all bedrooms have en-suite facilities.

Additionally, the scheme incorporates assisted bathrooms which provide facilities for the frail elderly. The home also contains a range of amenities including full laundry and kitchen facilities together with dayrooms and a hairdresser for residents' use.

The demolition of the existing home made way for a new residential development, with renovation of the existing listed buildings on the site.
